Origami Vase
Learn to make an elegant origami vase. With just 12 steps you will be able to create a cool container for your paper flowers and other small creations. The model has clean lines and appears to be quite straight forward to make. However, some of the reverse folds may be tricky.
Start with a square sheet of paper with the white-side facing up. Pre-crease as shown, then collapse into the Preliminary Base.
Step 5: this part is tricky. You need to fold the front-flap into the center of the vase. This flap must cover the corners of the paper marked with green dots.
Step 6: Repeat behind. Be sure to avoid unraveling the front flap as you work with the back flap.
Step 7: Like turning the pages of a book, swivel the top-right flap towards the left. Behind the model, swivel an equivalent flap from left to right.
Step 8 & 9: these two flaps are easier to fold back.
Step 11: another tricky part – make an inside reverse fold along the four corners. Note the corner with the green dot: push this corner down and then in between the layers of paper. Be careful that you don’t unravel the folds made in step 5 & 6.
