Pop Up Card Instructions

  1. Fold a piece of white paper in half; this will be your ‘card’. Cut a heart shape along the folded edge of the paper. Do not cut the heart out completely; leave a small notch uncut.
  2. Open the card halfway. Use your fingers to push the heart into the card so that it lies between the two layers of the paper. The crease in the heart shape will need to change from a mountain fold to a valley fold.
  3. This is how the outside of the card will look like. When you open the card, the heart will pop up at you.
  4. To complete the card, glue it onto a colored piece of paper for backing. Use red backing for a nice homemade Valentine’s card. You can cut a row of heart shapes to emphasize your love.
