In April 2010, a huge crane was constructed in the desert for the annual, 3-day Coachella Music and Art Festival. The synthetic crane provided shade during the day, and it was lit up at night to guide
Irish artist Alex Pentek, creates large-scale public art some of which are inspired by origami. Shown is an 8 meter long, 4.5-meter tall hedgehog (County Wexfort, Ireland) inspired by John Richardson’s origami Hedgehog.
